Played yesterday afternoon at 1 pm. POP was 5 hrs. Greens were had minor maintenance done recently but ran decent pace at 10. Played yesterday afternoon at 1 pm. POP was 5 hrs. Greens were had minor maintenance done recently but ran decent pace at 10. Lots of hazards off the tee box including lots of native over grown grass. Also, front nine had funky sewer smell. Fairways is nice shape and sand traps were fine. Tee boxes and aprons were nicely maintained. They have a serious cart shortage problem here. Not as bad as Rio Hondo last year but get ready to wait for carts off 18. They need a new fleet. Enjoyed my day playing windy links golf.

As Previous review mentioned, the previously best greens in Orange County are now a ttrain wreck! Looks like a fungus issue post aeration. Greens are bumpy,sandy, with frequent bare spots. It’s just a luck of the draw once you get on the putting green. The fairways, traps, and two boxes are all in better than average shape.. Hopefully they get the greens under control.

Played Friday, 6/7 as a twosome joining a young couple, teeing off from the whites @1:00. I usually find the conditions here as good or better than most munis and it held true. Played Friday, 6/7 as a twosome joining a young couple, teeing off from the whites @1:00. I usually find the conditions here as good or better than most munis and it held true. There are some tee boxes with a bit of tilt to them but nothing too bad and most are level. Coverage around the course for both fairways and rough is pretty consistently green, with the fairways cut to a nice length and rough being generally playable. I was in one bunker, the ball sat on the surface although the sand was not actually overly firm. Sand quality is OK. The green surrounds presented well for short game and the greens ran a quick end of medium with minimum marks and a good surface.

The course was busy and we got around in about five hours that didn't seem quite that long due to the mostly steady pace. A steady 1-club breeze through the day that kept it from getting overly warm. There was woman in charge of organizing the carts and starts that would have put us out immediately if we hadn't wanted to hit warmup and stick to our original time. She was working hard all day to keep everything moving, which was nice to see and she deserves props. This was our first look at the new clubhouse. Good to see it up and running. Aesthetically, I found the interior a bit cold, but the food and golf services were all operating smoothly. The course has a couple of quirky holes (which I don't mind) but is a mostly solid layout is set in a very scenic foothill setting. Definitely recommended.

Played 6-3-24 walking as a single on a really nice overcast calm day. Tees were in really good shape, best I have seen them in awhile. Fairways were very green and lush with great lies and decent roll out. Some damage to the 10th fairway where the heavy rains had washed some sand across , but not really in play. Played 6-3-24 walking as a single on a really nice overcast calm day. Tees were in really good shape, best I have seen them in awhile. Fairways were very green and lush with great lies and decent roll out. Some damage to the 10th fairway where the heavy rains had washed some sand across , but not really in play. Rough was in real nice condition, about 2 inches along fairways and a little longer around greens. It is very lush and thick, can be a club grabber if the ball sits down. Greens were in awesome shape, rolling medium/fast and smooth, and playing semi-soft. Overall great conditions, and well worth playing.

Played several times this week. Greens improving every day. almost back to normal and rolling smoothly again after spring maintenance. With the temps north of 105 a few days, speed still a tad slower than usual. Barely any remnants of the top dressing still present.

Nice restaurant onsite, excellent customer service. Even saw a drink cart out making the rounds today, rare here. Recommended.
