Vons Chicken

Vons is delicious. I've only ordered from this location on Doordash, but it's pretty consistent to the other locations I've been to (Newark, Sunnyvale). They're the only place I know that offers cheddar or honey butter korean fried chicken, and they do it super well!

I like to order the Vons Plate for one because it usually feeds me for both lunch and dinner. They provide a lot of wings, and it comes with a side of fries. Great tasting food with an amazing crunchy. Everything is packaged very nicely and I've never had any issues. The fries do get soggy, but for the amount of chicken I get in this, I don't really mind. Plus I'm not ordering from here and expecting the fries to be the star of the show!

Overall great food great value. One of my favorite Korean chicken places comparable to others around the area. Highly recommend!

Went here for dinner the other night. Was ok.

Pros: clean restaurant, fried chicken... always a good thing.

Cons: service wasn't consistent. Friendly, yes, but also forgetful... ordered items were forgotten, even after multiple reminders. And, maybe they do this to everyone, but, I was reminded to actually sign the credit card slip, which I thought was weird. I've never been reminded of that before, and yes, it did rub me the wrong way.... Maybe they've had issues, so it's part of their routine, but I was taken aback by the remark.

Bruh living the dream bruh it's Korean drama like literally chicken and beer. Nothing gets better than this restaurant. Give it a go, give it a try, you worked at your crappy jobs now enjoy yourself like I did at Vons Chicken.

Came here on a Monday afternoon and the place was empty so service was super quick. The restaurant is really nicely decorated and they have the most comfortable chairs. We ordered garlic chicken and cheese chicken, sweet potato fries, Mandu, and fried cheese balls. Everything tasted really good and we had plenty of leftovers to take home for dinner. We'll probably order less next time and try different things, but we will be back for sure.

VONS CHICKEN YOU SAVED ME!! I came out of an extremely disappointing Yelp event and was desperately hungry for some good food -- ordered crispy chicken for pick up $16.99 for 3 drums and 4 wings. The order was pretty much ready in the 10 minutes it took for me to drive over and I devoured that box within minutes sitting in my car. I'm pretty sure I dripped some sauce all over and burned my tongue but man oh man, I had never been so happy to taste some damn delicious fried chicken. What I love about Vons is that crispy chicken skin!!! Oh my god... I'm sad a small box can get eaten up so quickly! The crispy flavor is perfectly savory and I love that you can customize the spice level, although I can eat one more spicy level up!!

Service was very friendly and efficient. The restaurant is fairly spacious with nobody dining in on a Wednesday after work. This fried chicken definitely needs to be enjoyed immediately. Drive yourself over and dive into some crunchy tastiness!!

This place was a disappointment for me. Granted, the restaurant dining area itself is modern and has well-arranged seating, and I was able to order from a techy touch-screen panel.

However, I noticed that groups of people who came in and ordered after me had gotten their food first. It took quite a while for me to finally get my order, and when I did the server was completely nonchalant about it (and I even entered a nice tip on the order screen beforehand). Also, the server was largely absent from the floor the whole time, and I could never get his attention.

The food itself was perfectly beneath mediocre. I mean, it looked and tasted like I could make it at home, only I could have done it better. :-( I actually started thinking I should have gotten a bento from neighboring Nijiya Market.

Pretty positive I won't be coming back here again.

This Vons has plenty of tables and space I love the decor inside very clean and modern. Large screen TVs that play Korean shows. Tables can accommodate large groups too. I also see they have drinks on tap.

Would definitely come back to this place and try their sides.

The best is the friendly staff who greet you the minute you walk in the door.

I've been to Vons Chicken countless times, and across several locations. This one happens to be closest, and good consistent choice for when you can't figure out what to eat for dinner.

For appetizers, we ordered the cheese balls with honey butter seasoning. The cheese wasn't as ooey-gooey as places like Pelicana, but a good appetizer regardless.

Also ordered two types of Crispy Fried Chicken (drums and wings) -- one plate with honey butter seasoning and one without. The honey butter is perfectly sweet for a savory chicken dish, and the crunch never disappoints.

Also ordered japchae, which was a bit on the salty side, but fragrant with sesame oil.

Vons is my absolute favorite Korean fried chicken place in the bay, so I'll always come back here.

This is my favorite branch because my daughter loves their rice cakes.

She also loves their chicken and sweet potato fries.

Finally decided to meander over and check out the spot for dine in (I've only ever done take out). I've always felt like the prices for one were a bit steep for a take out order, so I've always ordered a small portion of chicken to spread across a few days. However, now that I know the drums are GIGANTIC for an individual order (oh, plus $4 additional draft beer), I know what my go to will be. I mean, take a peek at the photo with the AirPods for scale.

Now, the sauce itself was great and had a nice kick to it for a mild sauce. It was suuuuper messy and I only was given one small napkin lol. Took me a while to get more napkins (I'd ask for a lot right away). I think next time, I might ask for sauce on the side and dip as needed. By the way, the chicken skin was still very crispy even with the sauce all over it.

Four stars only because the pickled radishes were ~just okay~ and didn't have too much of a fancy vinegary kick that I prefer. Fries were perfectly seasoned and salty. Definitely come check this place out if you're in the mood for some good chicken.
