Hello! My name is Jiyeon, and I am a music producer and songwriter. I work mainly in the Korean, Japanese, and Chinese music industries, and have songwriting and vocal direction credits with GOT7, Monsta X, SF9, THE BOYZ, Kei of Lovelyz, Infinite, MCND, UP10tion. I graduated from Tokyo School of Music and am currently signed with and on the leadership board of Melogram Music, a music publishing and production firm based in Seoul, South Korea.
Currently, I split my time between San Jose and Seoul. In San Jose, I run both songwriting workshops and offer private lessons in songwriting, vocal, and audio production. I teach young people aged 12 and up as well as adults of all levels—from complete beginners to early- and mid-stage professionals and those who are preparing for auditions. I can teach in English, Korean, or Japanese. For newcomers and those wishing to break into the songwriting industry, I offer songwriting sessions to create your own music. I will guide you through the entire songwriting process of idea development, writing a topline (lyrics and melody), vocal direction, recording, and editing using Logic Pro. I also offer more classes focusing on specialized skills including vocal lessons, toppling development, audio production, and piano for pop music.
I prefer to meet at my studio located just south of the Willow Glen area in San Jose, as my studio is fully equipped with the equipment necessary for songwriting, recording, and production. However, if you have your own computer, monitor, speakers, and master keyboard (or plan to rent a studio with these things) I can travel to you as well. Additional travel expenses depend on your location.
My session are once per week with a minimum of four sessions per month. The base rate per session starts at $60 for 40 minutes. For advanced or specialized lessons, the fee may be different.

전세계에서 케이팝의 수요가 높아지면서 작곡이나 트랙 프로듀싱, 탑라이너 등으로 케이팝 시장에 뛰어들고 싶지만 방법을 모르는 분, 현재 작업중인 곡들의 퀄리티를 높이는 방법을 찾고 싶은 분, 음악에 관심이 많은 자녀분들에게 효율적인 방법으로 음악을 가르쳐 주시고 싶은 부모님 등 많은 분들께 레슨 문의를 받아왔었는데 제가 지금까지 워크샵을 주최하고, 개인 멘토링을 해 왔던 미국 현지분들보다 한인 커뮤니티에서 제가 가진 지식을 나누고자 하는 마음으로 레슨 공고를 작성합니다.
레슨은 산호세 윌로우 글랜 남쪽에 위치한 작업실에서 이뤄지기를 선호합니다. 만약 컴퓨터(맥북 프로 선호), 스피커, 마스터 키보드 등을 갖추고 계시거나 스튜디오를 따로 렌트할 계획이시라면 원하시는 장소로 이동가능합니다. (교통비 별도 협의)
온라인 수업 등도 가능하나 따로 문의 부탁드려요.
레슨 가능한 연령대는 12세 부터 성인 누구나이며 영어로 레슨 또한 가능합니다.
로직 프로를 이용한 작곡, 프로듀싱 및 보컬, 건반 레슨 등이 가능하며 앞으로 배운 지식을 통해 케이팝을 만들어 나가는 작곡가, 프로듀서 등으로 성장해 나가고 싶은 분들, 자녀분들 환영합니다.
레슨비용은 기본 40분 60$ 최소 월 4회이며 전문가 양성 클래스 등 레벨에 따라 추가요금이 발생합니다.
