▶ About Company 
The Edge AI and Vision Alliance is a worldwide industry partnership bringing together technology providers and end-product companies to accelerate the adoption of edge AI and vision in products. Founded in 2011, the Alliance now has roughly 100 Member companies, ranging from name-brand multinationals to newly formed startups. All have one thing in common: they either produce technology to enable AI and vision in products, or they use AI and vision in their products.

▶ About Role
The Edge AI and Vision Alliance is seeking a skilled Korean translator/interpreter and cultural consultant to join our team on a contract basis for occasional assignments. This role is ideal for a professional fluent in both Korean and English, with a deep understanding of South Korean and American business cultures and experience in the tech industry. The position involves providing translation and cultural consulting services for our events in Silicon Valley and occasional calls throughout the year.
Especially, the most important aspect of this role is assisting at our Embedded Vision Summit event, May 20-22 in Santa Clara.

▶ Key Responsibilities:
• Translate and interpret communications between English and Korean for events and meetings.
• Provide cultural consulting to ensure effective communication and understanding between the Edge AI and Vision Alliance and South Korean business partners.
• Offer insights into South Korean business practices and etiquette to enhance cross-cultural interactions.

▶ Ideal Qualifications
• Proven experience working in both the United States and South Korea, preferably in a business or engineering role within the tech industry.
• Exceptional communication skills in both English and Korean.
• Demonstrated experience in translation and interpretation between English and Korean.
• Strong understanding of business cultures in both South Korea and the United States.
• Local to the Silicon Valley area to facilitate participation in events.
• The candidate must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (e.g., permanent residency or citizen 영주권 혹은 시민권)

▶ Working Schedule
• ~ 05/22/2025 :  half time ~ full time (채용 즉시 05/20~05/22 행사에 필요한 사전 교육 및 업무 조율 시간 예정)
• For the rest of year : a few hours per month (via Zoom and email)

▶ Job Information 
• 고용형태 : part-time, occasional
• 급여형태 : 시급 $18.20 (합격자 이력 및 요건에 따른 협의 예정)
• 근무 시간 : 채용 즉시~5/22 이벤트 까지 – half ~ full time 유동적 / 그 이후 업무에 따라
• 근무 장소 : 채용 즉시~5/22 : on-site / 그 이후 업무에 따라 원격 및 on-site 협의
