Data Engineer
This position’s office is based in CA (LA & Bay Area), but is open to anywhere in US with partial or full remote work arrangement. Data & Analytics (DnA) team @ Search is looking for passionate and talented Data Engineer at Manager Level. Data Engineer builds large scale-data pipelines and infrastructure which will power various data-driven decision making and business intelligence. Software engineers build analytical ecosystem and online / offline evaluation platforms which will empower data scientists and analysts.
Problem Areas:
· Large-scale / real-time data pipeline development and optimization
· Building state-of-the-art Offline (crowdsourcing) and Online (A/B) Evaluation Platforms
· Building and improving platforms and tools for data scientists and analysts Qualifications
· Proof of quantitative and technical skills
· 8~13 Years of professional software development experience
· Relevant areas include Hadoop / Spark / Scala / Docker / Kubenetes / Front-end & Full-stack Web Development
·Previous work experience requires from one of the FANG level company ·Track record of rapidly acquiring new technical skills
Education
Master’s or Ph.D degree in Computer Science or Statistics preferred

Senior Data Scientist
This position’s office is based in CA (LA & Bay Area), but is open to anywhere in US with partial or full remote work arrangement. Data & Analytics (DnA) team @ Search is looking for passionate and talented Data Scientists at Manager Level. Data Scientists define new analytical problems and solutions, work with various partners in product and engineering to build solutions, work with various partners in product and engineering to build solutions in new models and tools, and eventually deliver outcomes in reports and code to maximize technical and business impact. We also encourage the outcomes to be shared in major academic and industrial conferences
Job roles
· User Modeling in Intelligent (Search, Recommendation and Conversational) Systems · Research in Novel Metrics and Evaluation Techniques for Intelligent Systems
· Develop and Improve the Practice of Offline and Online (A/B) Experiments · Causal Inference with Applications to Large-scale Industry Data / Problems
Qualifications
· Proof of quantitative and technical skills
· for more than eight years Years of experience in relevant areas
· Relevant areas include crowdsourcing, A/B evaluation, causal inference and model-based
metric development
· Have research achievements or published papers as a thesis author at conferences or society such as SIGIR, RecSys or KDD
· Previous work experience requires from one of the FAANG level company · Track record of rapidly acquiring new technical skills
· Experience in Python Data Science ecosystem (pandas / jupyter notebook / numpy) preferred · Work closely with other members of the team, including those with different domain expertise

Education
Master’s or Ph.D degree in Computer Science or Statistics preferred
