JOB TITLE: Electrical Engineer
SUMMARY
This position is for an Electrical Engineer that will play a key technical role in designing embedded control systems for Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS) for semiconductor manufacturing.
RESPONSIBLITES
- Generate analog and digital electrical design of 32-bit and 64-bit embedded control systems. This includes:
- Researching and analyzing existing designs, field reliability data, and Marketing Requirements to create Engineering Design Specifications (EDS).
- Creating schematics, printed circuit boards assemblies, BOMs and other relevant detailed design deliverables
- Verifying designs meet functional specifications. This includes developing basic diagnostic software and tooling to bring-up and debug new designs.
- Experienced with all phases of the product development including requirements analysis, detailed design, design verification testing, and transfer of information to manufacturing.
- Support Manufacturing and Field operations by troubleshooting component and system level failures.
- Interface with, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, marketing, and other development functions to ensure successful development and launch of new products.
- Provide guidance and technical oversight to contract engineering companies to design, develop and document new systems and modules.
- Design for cost, manufacturability, testability, and reliability.
- Protect company intellectual property by submitting patent applications
- Participate in leadership effort to continuously improve company’s PDP processes.
- Provide technical training and guidance to less experienced engineers.
SKILL/JOB REQUIRMENTS:
- BSEE required, MSEE preferred
- Minimum 5 years’ experience developing embedded control systems for industrial applications.
- Semiconductor AMHS or wafer handling robotics experience a plus
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in use of ECAD tools such as OrCad, SPICE, Allegro, etc.
