Renowned celebrity chef Sungil Han, who specializes in meat omakase, will be leading the restaurant. With 5 meat omakase brands under his ownership and 17 locations across Korea, Chef Han has established himself as a prominent figure in the industry.

The OLHSO brand is operated under Shin Starr Presents (www.shinstarr.com), a company backed by notable investors including CJ Group, WooWa Brother's Corp (배달의 민족), and KNET Ventures. The company creates, operates, and franchises Korean cuisine-based QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) and contemporary-casual dining restaurants built around its proprietary robotic kitchen technology and Korean cuisine excellence.

As the General Manager (“GM”) for OLHSO, the GM will be responsible for all operations of the restaurant including planning, hiring, training and scheduling. Working closely with the executive team, the GM will also be responsible for all financial aspects of the restaurant which includes budget planning, forecast, and delivery of monthly P&L statements.

OLHSO’s GM will ensure a safe and positive work environment for all staff and, each of whom will in turn, strive to provide all guests an exceptional Korean BBQ dining experience.

Responsibilities and duties:

1. Uphold the OHLSO brand vision & values and contribute to a culture of positivity and high standards where all employees seek perfection in everything they do
2. Create and foster a positive, warm, and welcoming environment for guests and employees
3. Prepare and implement standard operating procedures, coordinate restaurant operations during each shift, determine and implement operating improvements
4. Manage all aspects of staff performance in accordance with established service standards
5. Control Profit & Loss by following cash control/security procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor, reviewing financial reports, and taking appropriate actions
6. Monitor adherence to health, safety and hygiene standards within location, ensure compliance with restaurant security procedures, inclusive of alcohol regulations, ensure a safe working environment by facilitating safe work behaviors of the team and guests, maintains safe, secure, and healthy facility environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying with health and legal regulations; maintaining security systems
7. Organize and create venue leadership schedules for approval from management
8. Monitor staff schedules and ensures that budgeted labor costs are met
9. Submit weekly and monthly packages; oversight of weekly and monthly invoice scans, credit card uploads
10. Maintain accountability for all internals controls around invoices, cash and other payments handling and procedures
11. Interact with guests, to ensure all inquiries, guest recovery and complaints are handled promptly
12. Review and monitor restaurant sales and revenue
13. Implement and execute marketing and promotional activities
14. Ensure repairs, maintenance and preventative maintenance plan for the building, facility, and grounds
15. Recruit, interview, and hire team members; conduct performance appraisals, take disciplinary action, motivate and train
16. Assess staffing requirements on a continuous basis to identify current needs
17. Maintain food service and production levels by leading strong BOH and FOH execution
18. Complete weekly payroll reports
19. Review weekly reservations and events
20. Host and lead weekly meetings with executive management team

Qualifications

1. 3 years General Manager experience in full-service restaurant, fine-dining, corporate dining, or restaurants that uphold the highest standards of service.
2. Knowledge of Korean cuisine and and experience in Korean BBQ steakhouse preferred
3. Bilingual in English and Korean preferred
4. Hospitality degree preferred
5. Servsafe, Food Safety Handler, and Training for Intervention Procedures (TIPS) certifications required.
6. Strong financial and computer skills; has experience working with and an understanding of P&L's; able to monitor budgets and manage service and labor costs.
7. Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
8. Must be able to have flexibility to work additional hours as needed
