JOB TITLE: NPI Engineer
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage release of New Products and technical changes to existing products through BOM management, ECO and deviation processes.
- Technical knowledge authority in Operations: detailed understanding of product design and functionality, involvement in troubleshooting of complex failures to identify root cause and propose corrective action.
- Lead efforts that improve reliability, manufacturability, capacity and/or cost.
- Manage First Article Evaluation process (FAE).
- Lead cross organization activity to verify and release new parts and approve suppliers.
- Work closely with engineering department: involvement in design reviews of new products and resolution of design issues in existing products.
- Develop test and assembly fixtures.
- Validate manufacturing processes and provide production support through successful and sustained project launch.
- Assist Manufacturing department and manage communication across all departments.
- Work closely with development and design engineers to ensure customer needs are met.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors degree in an Engineering field or equivalent.
- Independent, self-motivated personality with strong communications skills and problem-solving attitude.
- CAD experience (Solidworks) a plus.
- Strong technical writing skills to generate clear, precise documentation such as manufacturing instruction/rework/deviation documents.
- Able to read and interpret schematics and other technical documentation.
- Excellent cross-functional teamwork skills
